2000 VW Cabrio *** Car Needs Transmission Work *** 2000 VW Cabrio for sale 170,035 km's 5 speed manual transmission Bought this car last year as a project for my Wife to drive in the summer but ended up with too many other vehicles and not enough time. Was told that the car stopped going into gear/ driving. Confirmed could not get car to shift, would sometimes go into reverse or 1st, but not often. Was told that transmission may have been run dry, but seller didn't know. Car ran fine when I got it but has old gas now and will not run without some fresh gas. I just ran it last week but needed starting fluid. Overall, the car is in good shape. It is missing some trim pieces and a radio, but the body and interior are in decent shape and the top is excellent. Comes with original owners manual and cover for the top when retracted. I haven't done a single this to this car since I bought it and now must sell because we are moving. This could be a great deal for someone that knows VW's. Thanks for looking.
