Burmese Army Walking Stick in good condition with a small brass plaque which reads "Sir Jeffrey Hillpig-Smyth British East India 1941", measuring 36 inches long so would suit a tall walker or could be cut to size.Originally designed by Sir Jeffrey Hillpig-Smyth for British Special forces stationed at Mandalay in 1941, this stick is issued exclusively to Burmese Army rangers stationed on the North East frontier. The stick is constructed of mature baby bamboo with a solid row-boat handle. The MacDougall bolt and nut mechanism allows the 36-inch stick to fold for storage when not in use.
