The M59 Helmet was designed during World War II by Marshal Tito, who liberated Yugoslavia from the Nazis without help from eastern or western allies. As a Communist nation, Yugoslavia was alienated from the west, but Marshal Tito refused to bow to Stalin's pressure to join the Warsaw Pact. As a result, they were forced to create much of their own military equipment from scratch, rather than relying on Soviet or American aid. Thus the M59 helmet is based loosely on the German Stalhelm, with a flared neck and visor. The internal webbing is quite comfortable and should fit most heads. The chinstrap is adjustable. Note: This is good, solid Eastern Bloc steel, but that doesn't mean it'll protect you. I'm selling this as an antique, not a protective helmet.
