We are taking pre-orders for some of the most succulent and flavourful pork available, cut and wrapped and with professional bacon and sausages by request.
Only three pigs left for this year, either whole ($5.00/lb), or by the side ($5.50lb) for cut and wrapped roasts, chops, loins, etc., $8.00/lb for bacon, $9.00 - 11.00/lb for various sausages.
Will consider trade for beef.
These are large pigs - ribs and loins are over 30" per side, and a whole pig is approximately 300lbs (+-) Fresh or frozen. Available in late October. Delivery can be arranged.
Our pigs have led a pleasant and care-free life on beautiful Salt Spring Island, with no steroids, commercial feed or antibiotics. They have the run of our property, which has both sloped and forested areas which unlike commercial pork, encourages plenty of playtime and proper exercise. Along with professional processing, this results in beautifully-toned yet tender meat.
All of our animals are processed at a certified processors by people we trust. When frozen, we quick-freeze at minus 42G degrees to ensure smaller ice crystals and longer freezer life.
