I have two 60' (for heating 21 square feet, $99 new) and one 80' (for heating 28 square feet, $106.89 new) soil heating cables, and three soil probe thermostats ($50 new) purchased this past September for a project that is no longer going to happen.
Including tax, the whole setup cost me around $520.
I bought everything from Integrity Feeds in Victoria, except for one thermostat from Duncan's Buckerfields for $60 instead of $50.
Everything has never been used. I opened the 80' cable's box and one of the soil probe thermostats to see what they looked like.
My plan was to build tables inside one of those 8'x10' greenhouse tents Buckerfields sells for starting 31 trays worth of microgreens, veggie starts, or other seeds early in the season. However, plans have changed, and you can take advantage of a little cheaper prices!
$450 for everything.
80' cable and thermostat: $155
60' cable and thermostat: $150
