We are looking for a mature, responsible and qualified nurse to be part of our son's care team.
You must have relevant nursing education, experience and interest in caring for a complex pediatric patient with multiple medical and developmental challenges. Knowledge and use of G-tubes/infinity pump, 02/oximetre, suction, positioning aids, medications, etc. will be required.

Our 4 year old son is a very content, happy little boy who loves music, cuddling, stories, nursery rhymes and songs, going for walks in his stroller, and connection with his caregivers. He is non-verbal, non-mobile and is dependent in all areas of daily living (feeding, toileting, dressing, etc.) You would be required to handle our son's feeding, medication, physical and developmental needs, as well as help us manage day to day housework, meals and errands.

We are looking for someone who is sensitive, mindful, patient and able to handle many hours of holding and cuddling our son as this is his primary mode of spending his awake time. You must be attentive to details and able to attune to our son's emotional, developmental, physical, and medical needs, as he is not able to express himself and relies on his caregiver's for every aspect of his life and safety.

Overnight shifts require 'awake-overnight' care, as our son needs medications and feeding via G-tube, position changes, temperature regulation, diaper changes, and .. he is often awake for several hours a night, and needs attention, reading, singing, etc.

You must:
Be physically healthy and strong as our son is 35 lbs and requires lifting from bed, chairs, floor.
Be able to drive and have a valid driver's license.
Be non-smoking and use unscented products (laundry detergents, shampoos, etc.) for your shifts.
Be willing to take First Aid/Food Safe.
