Heritage birds have a 50% longer life span than grocery store chickens known as Cornish Cross. Unlike Cornish Cross chicken, heritage birds do not experience genetic heart and leg problems that can lead to an early death and instead heritage breeds can live long, happy, healthy lives as they do on our farm. Longer lives also lead to more flavourful, delicious birds.
