Last summer when my sisters living situation changed abruptly and she could no longer keep her sweet puppy, we decided to take in 8 month old Zoey. She is such an amazing dog, so full of love, great with people as well as children and other animals, housetrained, very responsive to commands, her name, & a few tricks (Sit, Shake paw, High Five, & Hugs). We can leave her unattended in the backyard (when we're home) and she's never jumped a fence or tried to escape the yard whatsoever.
We thought that the hardest part would be getting the dog we already had used to sharing her home and people with another pup, but Zoey has seperation anxiety and she becomes very anxious and destructive when we leave.
We both work full-time during the week and despite having spent months trying to get her used to our schedule/getting her into a routine that works for her as well as us! But it hasn't gotten any better & now our other dog is starting to act up, which never happened before. So it has unfortunately come to the point now where we have to leave her locked in our laundry room with only her bed, food/water dishes and some toys during the day, as she wrecks everything she can if we don't.
Zoey is in need of a loving home where the owner(s) are not working full-time and can be with her and show her the love she deserves, someone who can be there ALL THE TIME, so she's not alone.
Or someone who is capable of bringing her along to work, or can afford daily doggy daycare. Sadly, these options don't work for me and I have exhausted every option that I can to keep this beautiful pup but we don't have the time to give her we wish we could.
Zoey is spayed, up to date with shots, has no existing health issues, & weighs about 70lbs.
If you are interested in welcoming Miss Zoey into your family, please E-mail me so we can arrange something for you to meet her.
