The position of bookkeeper is an important one with our company. The bookkeeper plays a vital role in insuring that all financial reports are done accurately and timely so that we have an accurate financial view of our company at all times. Anyone performing in this capacity must demonstrate strong ability
in compiling and analyzing financial reports as well as the ability
to communicate those results to management personnel.

Specific Job Requirements
Very familiar with Quick Books
Accounts payable and accounts receivable management
Verifying accuracy of payroll submission & processing payroll
Completing and distributing financial reports by the 7th of each month
Filing of quarterly and yearly taxes
Banking functions (deposits, reconciliations)
Daily Management Essential report
Monitor corporate filings
Performing or assisting in audits (financial, insurance, etc)
Other Job Requirements
General paperwork documentation
Answer service calls during peak call times
Ability to multi-task
Train, monitor, and guide co-workers
This is an office position. Daily duties are performed from the
office located in Shawnigan Lake/Malahat area.
Typically a 40 hour week. Position does occasionally require additional hours when necessary to complete special financial projects and month-end closing of the books.
