$20 · Bee Hives and equipment - hand-crafted, strong and beautiful!
Hand-made honey bee hive parts, made here on Vancouver Island. All of our 'Bee Furniture' is hand-made to exacting tolerances, fully assembled, finished and ready for you to use - at prices that rival un-assembled mass-produced equipment. Quality and appearance are the finest available.
Our newest addition makes a great Christmas gift: the all-in-one Beekeepers Equipment Box. We started by designing a 5-frame nuc box, then added extra features such as external slots for standard and J hive tools, bee brush, smoker, and a swing-out frame perch. We made the box extra deep to protect any queen cells hanging down from frames. We've also added a removable divider, so you can keep equipment in one part and either two or three frames of bees on the other side. Or, remove the divider and transport up to 5 frames safely. The box has a screened ventilation hole - great for emergency splits or catching swarms. Finished with our signature golden or medium-brown gel stain and 4 coats of tung oil, plus genuine leather carrying straps and a locking clasp to keep things secure. Available until Christmas for an introductory price of just $99 (reg. $125).
Our Beekeeping Starter Package includes everything you need to start beekeeping except frames and bees! Available fully finished with gel-stain and bee-friendly tung oil for just $210, and now also available from stunningly beautiful Western Red Cedar from $275, fully finished! Contact us for details.
Help your bees survive the winter with a quality-designed quilt box from $30, or a peaked outer cover which replaces the traditional flat roof. It includes inner and gable-end vents, and the 'attic space' helps to eliminate condensation in the hive. Fully finished and ready to use, with a weather-proof metal top. Spruce construction with a gel-stain and tung oil finish for $85, or $110 for beautifully finished Western Red Cedar.
